Storyline
Efosa has had enough. His younger half-sister, Nenye, is seized by an uncontrollable urge for men, and the episodes leave him dragging her home with a rope, tying her up, and shutting rooms to stop the neighborhood talk. Nenye sobs to God that she has brought shame on herself and Efosa. In Nenye The Giver, Angela, his wife, gives her separate plates and cups, calls her an infection, and says she must go. Efosa refuses, and a white-robed healer, Elijah, cannot help either. Efosa and Angela fight after midnight prayers fail, and Efosa threatens to end the marriage before he sends Nenye away. He drugs Nenye with sleeping pills, follows a friend to a shaman who speaks of a spiritual husband, mocks the man, and leaves. A mutual friend, Ade, is caught alone with Nenye and banished by Efosa. A street preacher names the cause: Nenye slept with another woman's husband, and that woman cursed her. Pressed by Efosa, Nenye confesses what she has hidden. Years earlier, when Efosa was sick and needed a transplant, she agreed to spend a week with a wealthy sponsor to pay for it, and the sponsor's wife caught them. Nenye fled without her underwear. Efosa is stunned, and he tells her she is the one who saved his life. Angela, who overhears everything, asks forgiveness. With a friend who knows how to trace people, Efosa finds the woman at a church. Nenye falls at her feet and begs for mercy. The woman says she divorced her cheating husband long ago, she is born again, and she was on the prayer team the night the deliverance failed. She forgives Nenye completely and breaks the curse. Nenye rebuilds her life. She goes out alone, comes back safely, and reports that the familiar attack never came. She has found a job, and she sends her first salary to Efosa. A suitor is coming to meet the family, she tells them. Efosa kneels and prays over her future, and the household shares peace, laughter, and tears of relief.
