My Sunshine

Sophie wins the school president election. Her friend tells everyone the news. But Daniel who lost is angry. He says Sophie will regret winning. Sophie tells her poor mother at home. The mother is happy and has a new job as cook. Daniel tells his rich mother. She gets angry and uses power to make the school take the title from Sophie and give to Daniel. Sophie goes to her mother's job but it is at Daniel house. Daniel mocks the mother as maid. His mother insults them, throws water and fires her. Then a car hits the mother on way home. She gets amnesia and does not know her daughter Sophie. Daniel feels bad. He pays hospital and gives them better home in Lagos secretly. His mother finds out. She is mad and slaps Daniel. He says he does not want her bad ways. Daniel goes to Sophie. He says sorry and gives letter. He says he was mean because he loved her but feared her strength. He leaves the president job. Sophie forgives. They hug. His mother is bitter alone. The movie My Sunshine is about how school fight brings pain but ends with love and change.
