Storyline
Dan and Phoebe, in love and working at a restaurant, hide their romance due to a strict supervisor. When Dan reconnects with old friend Betty, Phoebe senses her romantic interest. Betty offers to fund Dan’s restaurant if he dates her for a year. Dan refuses, but after the supervisor catches them, Phoebe quits to save Dan’s job. As Betty persists, Phoebe’s appendicitis emergency forces Dan to accept Betty’s 15M naira, cheating on Phoebe. Betty, terminally ill with lung cancer, later reveals the truth to Phoebe, who leaves Dan. Out of pity, Dan lets Betty stay, but insists he loves Phoebe. Betty, nearing death, explains Dan’s loyalty to Phoebe, leading to their reconciliation. Phoebe reveals her pregnancy, and Betty wills her wealth to them, securing their future as she faces her end.
