Love Pursuit

After her boyfriend dumps her at the sight of her fixing his generator, Hosanna's friend Vicky scolds her for acting too masculine and urges her to dress and behave like a lady; Hosanna insists she can find love without disguising who she is. Determined to prove that point, Hosanna lends a borrowed car to Bryan, a charismatic newcomer who wins her trust, and then gives him a five million naira loan to back his plans. When Bryan invites Hosanna to an awards ceremony, she arrives in a suit rather than an evening gown, and he publicly treats her as his driver while escorting another woman. Despite that humiliation, Bryan tells Hosanna he is developing feelings for her and causes a scene with his current girlfriend before asking for an additional ten million naira to produce his film; the first loan remains unpaid. The genuine owner of the car and the five million naira eventually confronts the pair, calls Hosanna a thief, and has her taken to the police station, where Bryan promises to send a lawyer but never appears. Left alone to face the consequences, Hosanna realizes she has been deceived, and the owner too comes to understand that Bryan had tricked her as well. After her release, Hosanna crosses paths again with the quiet man who had pursued her, and as they walk along the beach she opens up about her past. Growing up the only girl among many brothers, she learned to fix generators and cars, worked her way into wealth with her own hands, and now owns Moto Arcade and the very house where Bryan had been living. Her honesty about those struggles and her refusal to soften herself for anyone finally earns her a genuine chance at love.
