One day, during a big standoff, villagers face armed guards. Police shoot in the air, scaring people. Chaos breaks out, and Nengi feels deep fear and pain from the violence. Seeing how his work hurts the woman he's falling for, Zac makes a tough call. He phones his board and stops the whole multi-million dollar project. Zac goes to Nengi, who is sad and broken. He tells her the news: no more drilling. He says he loves her too much to wreck her world. Touched by his big sacrifice, she hugs him tight. Their love turns real and strong. Later, at Zac's big house, his ex-wife Petra shows up uninvited. She's mean, mocking Nengi as a "village girl" and "local breed." She can't believe Zac gave up everything for her.
