Close Feelings

Sonia is excited to start a new life in Lagos. She gets a job as head of brand for a financial firm and moves into a shared apartment. Her two housemates are Tega and Samuel. Tega is very warm and welcoming. They laugh together and have easy conversations. Samuel works in HR and is more reserved. He seems closed off at first, and Sonia feels a distance between them. But over time, Sonia starts to understand Samuel better. During a quiet talk outside by his car, he tells her he studies people to know them. One night in the kitchen, Sonia shares her stress about work. Samuel listens calmly and comforts her. This leads to a passionate kiss between them. The trouble begins when Tega confronts Samuel. Tega had told Samuel earlier that he liked Sonia. Tega feels betrayed that Samuel kissed her behind his back. The friendship between the two men breaks apart. At the same time, Sonia sees a new side of Samuel. She watches him lose his temper and yell at a driver. This scares her and makes her question if she really knows him. The movie ends with no clear answer. Tega is heartbroken. The happy feeling in the house is gone. Sonia is stuck in the middle, and no one knows what will happen next.
