Storyline

After a joyful traditional engagement, the couple in 'Blue Honeymoon' faces immediate hardship when Chude's family business collapses, leaving them in debt. Chude's uncle admits his own financial ruin, and Chude confesses to Kim they are broke, with her family paying their rent. Financial pressure mounts as Chude borrows 50,000 from a friend, Kim's father refuses to give her an allowance insisting her husband should provide, and Kim's friend Kosi criticizes the simple meal she serves; Chude overhears her conversation with her father and gives Kosi the borrowed money for food. The fragile trust shatters when Kosi learns Chude married her to get access to his inheritance, sparking a heated argument, and she leaves to stay with a friend while Chude wallows in regret. While Kim begins working as a personal assistant for Mr. Leo, a wealthy boss with romantic intentions, Chude grows suspicious and spies on her social media. Initially attracted to the stability Mr. Leo offers, Kosi soon recognizes his kindness as predatory. She returns his gifts, refuses his demand to resign, and threatens to expose any false reasons for firing. Outside the office, Kosi meets Chude and they embrace, walking away together committed to facing their financial struggles as a united front. Choosing to be intentional about their marriage, they reject the pursuit of material comfort elsewhere.
