Stephanie Okereke Linus

EARLY LIFE

Stephanie Okereke was born in Ngor Okpala, Imo State. She is the sixth of eight children. She completed her primary and secondary education in Delta State and later graduated from the University of Calabar with a degree in English and Literary Studies.

CAREER

Stephanie started her acting career as a teenager in 1997, starring in two Nollywood movies, 'Compromise 2' and 'Waterloo'. In 2002, she was the runner-up in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. After graduating from the New York Film Academy in 2007, she released the film 'Through the Glass,' where she served as director, screenwriter, producer, and actress. Her 2014 film 'Dry' also garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim. She has starred in over 90 films.

PERSONAL LIFE

In April 2012, Stephanie married Linus Idahosa in a private ceremony in Paris, France. The couple has two sons, born in October 2015 and May 2022. In 2005, she was involved in a serious car accident that left her with burns and a broken leg, from which she has since recovered.
