EARLY LIFE
Shamz Garuba, born on July 12th, hails from Edo State, Nigeria. Born and raised in Nigeria, Shamz grew up with an infectious passion for creativity and storytelling. His mother believed deeply in his potential, encouraging him to explore the world of modeling as early as 2014, and by 2016, he stepped fully into his career as a professional model.
CAREER
His early years in modeling built his confidence and sharpened his presence in front of the camera. He quickly became known for his charisma and natural flair, using modeling as a springboard into acting. He landed roles in notable films like Dear Diane and the gripping series Crime and Justice Lagos. In 2024, Shamz made a remarkable debut in the film A Night in 2005. He was also announced as part of the stellar cast for Red Circle, an upcoming project, and joins the anticipated adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone, set for release in January 2027. He stars alongside talents like Ayra Starr, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Tosin Cole, and Cynthia Erivo.
