Samuel Dedetoku, popularly known by his stage name Sam Dede , is a Nigerian veteran actor, director, politician and lecturer. Sam Dede, as he is widely known in movies, studied Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt.

EARLY LIFE

Born Samuel Dedetoku on November 17, 1965, in Lagos, Nigeria, to Pa Dede and Elsie Iyenginabaibo Abel Dede from Ogbodo in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State. Attended primary and secondary school in Lagos, then studied Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree.

CAREER

Entered Nollywood in 1995, rose to prominence with roles in Igodo, Issakaba, The Mayors. Pioneer of Nigerian movie industry with over 20 years experience. Senior lecturer in Theatre Arts at University of Port Harcourt. Appointed Director-General of Rivers State Tourism Development Agency in 2012.
