EARLY LIFE
Roselyn Ngissah was born to Ghanaian parents in Lagos, Nigeria. She spent her early childhood and received her basic education there before relocating to Ghana. She attended Tema Senior High School and later pursued higher education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where she earned her degree in Theatre Arts. Her background reflects a blend of Nigerian upbringing and Ghanaian cultural roots, which has influenced her versatile acting style across both industries.
CAREER
Roselyn Ngissah began her acting career in 2003 with her debut role in the film Sicily. She started with small parts before gaining wider recognition for her breakthrough performance as Angie in the popular series 4Play (2010) and its sequel 4Play Reloaded (2011). She has since featured in numerous Ghanaian and international films, showcasing range in lead and supporting roles. She has taken roles in movies like, Princess Tyra (2007), Adams Apples (2011), Somewhere in Africa (2011) as Capt. Rajilla, Broken Mirror (2014) as Evelyn, Away Bus (2019) as Aku, Pauline's Diary (2017) as Vivian, Aloe Vera (2020) as Aleomay, Trending Crimes (2020) as Gloria, Charade (2021) as Slim Sexy, A Taste of Sin (2023) as Nana, The Fisherman (2024) as Market Woman. Beyond acting, she has been involved in philanthropic activities, such as community outreach with foundations supporting children and widows in areas like Sukura near Dansoman (2019).
