A Nollywood actress, enterpreneur, filmmaker, and singer, born and brought up in Kaduna to Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau, she studied human resources management at the Eastern Mediterranean university in Northern Cyprus, known for her versatility in the Hausa and Nollywood word movie industry she has featured in movies like A lot like love, War: wrath and revenge, up North, Rahama Sadau owns an ice cream shop and is the founder of Sadau pictures and Sadau beauty, she has 4 siblings , Fatima, Aisha, Zainab and a brother Haruna Sadau.

EARLY LIFE

Rahama Ibrahim Sadau was born on December 7, 1993, in Kaduna State, Northern part of Nigeria to Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau. She was raised in Kaduna State, where she participated in dance competitions during her childhood and school years. She studied Human Resource Management at the School of Business and Finance of Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus.

CAREER

Sadau began her acting career in the Kannywood film industry in 2013, after being introduced by actor Ali Nuhu. She rose to prominence in late 2013 with her debut in the movie Gani ga Wane. In 2016, Sadau was named 'Face of Kannywood.' In the same year, she featured in a television series broadcast on EbonyLife TV. On October 3, 2016, the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) suspended her from participating in Kannywood productions for appearing in a romantic music video with singer Classiq. Sadau issued a formal apology to MOPPAN in 2017, and the suspension was lifted in January 2018. In 2017, she launched her own production company, Sadau Pictures, and produced her debut film Rariya. She also appeared in the television drama series MTV Shuga and later reprised her role in the sixth season, MTV Shuga Naija: Choices (2019). Her filmography also includes movies such as A lot like love, War: Wrath and Revenge, and Up North. In 2022, Sadau appeared in a minor role in the Bollywood film Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha. Besides acting and production, she is also a businesswoman, founding Sadau Beauty and owning an ice cream shop named Yogohamy, as well as a film production company, Sadau Movies. She has served as a brand ambassador for Maltina.

PERSONAL LIFE

Rahama Sadau engages in philanthropic activities through her foundation, Ray of Hope. She was named a 'Peace Ambassador' by the Association of Northern Nigerian Students and was appointed by the Office of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to serve on the Technical Committee of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) programme. She has 4 siblings: Fatima, Aisha, Zainab, and a brother Haruna Sadau.
