Williams Uchemba is a Nigerian actor, writer, and producer known for his roles in Nollywood films and his work as a comedian, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He began his career as a child actor and has since featured in and produced numerous films, including Sugar Rush and Merry Men 2. Uchemba also founded the Williams Uchemba Foundation and uses his platforms to advocate for youth development and social issues.

EARLY LIFE

Williams Uchemba was born on October 22nd, 1989, in Abia State, Nigeria. He grew up and had his early primary and secondary education in Abia state. He started acting in Nollywood movies as a child artist in the early 2000s, with his first movie appearance being in 'The Journey of the dead' in 2001.

CAREER

Williams Uchemba is a multi-talented individual known for his roles in acting, filmmaking, comedy, and social media influencing. Graduating in International Relations from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he started acting as a child artist. Following his breakthrough role in the 2001 movie 'The Journey of the dead', Williams received more movie roles, including 'Oh My Son' (2002), 'Dorothy My Love' (2002), 'Beyond Belief' (2003), 'The World of Riches' (2006), 'Story Story: The African Rideshare' (2018), 'Merry Men' (2018), 'Merry Men 2' (2019), and 'Sugar Rush' (2020). Around 2017/2018, he explored comedic acting by making funny skits on Instagram and YouTube, becoming known for the viral #IDontLikeWhatIHate trend. He also owns Prosthesis Entertainment Limited, a film production company that has produced films such as 'Hands Full of Blood' and 'Mamba’s Diamond'. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Nigerian Youth Representative, Youth Assembly at the United Nations.

PERSONAL LIFE

Uchemba is also a dedicated philanthropist, running the Williams Uchemba Foundation, which aims to assist the less fortunate in society. In 2017, he started the viral Give Challenge. In April 2020, he distributed money and food items to over 5,000 rural dwellers in Lagos, and in May of that year, he built a new house for a family and adopted a boy named Demola, offering him a free university scholarship. Williams is happily married to Brunella Oscar, a native of Idemili South, Anambra State. They had their traditional marriage ceremony on November 15, 2020, and their wedding ceremony on November 21, 2020, after dating since January 2017.
