Rabiu Rikadawa was born on 5 February 1972 in Kaduna State, Nigeria. He grew up in Kaduna and developed a passion for acting early in life, eventually becoming one of the foundational figures in the Hausa film industry.
CAREER
Rabiu Rikadawa is one of the biggest and most respected names in Kannywood. He is celebrated for his exceptional versatility and ability to excel in any role — from lead to supporting characters — earning him the title “GOAT of Kannywood” among fans and colleagues. He has appeared in dozens of films and television series, with notable credits including: Sons of the Caliphate, Ruwan Dare, Mati da Zazzau, Ladan Noma, Kazamin Shiri, Gidan Sarauta, Siyasa Ko Kabilanci, Kallo Daya, Husna Ko Husna?, Kaka, Sai Wata Rana. In addition to acting, he works as a director and producer. He has announced plans to produce Kannywood’s first comedy series. He is an active member of the Actors' Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and serves as the secretary of the Kano State chapter.
