EARLY LIFE

Lota Chukwu was born on 29 November 1989 in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. She is the youngest of four children and spent most of her childhood in Benin City, Edo State. She studied Agricultural Economics and Extension Service at the University of Benin and later trained professionally at the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos.

CAREER

Lota began her career as a model and represented Yobe State at the 2011 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. She made her acting debut in 2011 and rose to fame playing Kiki (the gentle, naive but maturing girl from a wealthy background) in the hit comedy series Jenifa’s Diary (2015–2018) alongside Funke Akindele, Juliana Olayode, and Falz. She has since become a versatile actress known for both lead and supporting roles in Nollywood films and TV series. She also works as a director and writer.
