Biography
EARLY LIFE
Kalu Daniel Olaedo, professionally known as Ola Daniels, was born on September 23 in the 1970s to the family of Mr. Levi Ehiemere and Mrs. Ngozi May Ehiemere. She is a native of Ovom, Aba Obi Ngwa, in Abia State, located in the southeastern region of Nigeria. She grew up in a large family as one of nine children. Sadly, she lost her mother in January 2023 at the age of 81. Ola Daniels completed her primary and secondary school education in Aba, Abia State. Following her foundational education, she relocated to London, United Kingdom, where she studied to become a professional nurse.
CAREER
Before fully transitioning into the entertainment industry, Ola Daniels worked as a professional nurse. She practiced for several years in the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria, where she was employed at St. Anthony's Hospital in Aba, Abia State. Ola Daniels made her Nollywood acting debut in 2002, featuring in the movie Snake Kingdom. She subsequently appeared in the film Vindicated. However, shortly after her marriage in 2004, she took a long, extended hiatus from the film industry at the request of her husband to focus on raising her young children. In 2019, she made a highly successful return to acting, a comeback heavily facilitated by the popular Nigerian comic actor Longinus Anokwute, widely known as Chief Imo. Since her return, she has rapidly risen to become a highly sought-after talent in Nollywood, particularly in Asaba-based productions. She has featured in over 100 movies, including Who Killed the Prince?, What I Got from Loving You, Private Nurse, Saving Rose, The Game, Married Again, and Twisted Result. Beyond acting, she is the founder and CEO of Ola Daniels World Production, a film production company through which she produces her own movies. Outside of entertainment, Ola Daniels is an active grassroots politician. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State. She is also a compassionate humanitarian, collaborating with organizations like the Nigerian Red Cross and the Nigerian Cancer Society to champion children's welfare and healthcare awareness.
PERSONAL LIFE
Ola Daniels has been married to Hon. Prince Daniel Kalu Orji since January 2004. Her husband, born on August 20, 1970, is a prominent Nigerian politician and businessman who previously served as the Executive Chairman of the Arochukwu Local Government Area. The couple is blessed with four children.
