EARLY LIFE
Diewait Ikpechukwu was born on 23 August 1955. He attended Comprehensive High School in Awomama, Imo State. He later studied Marketing at Kaduna State Polytechnic and completed his NYSC at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Before fully entering acting, he was actively involved in football, playing at youth levels (U-17, U-18, U-19) and associating with Enugu Rangers and the Nigerian Premier League. His father worked with the railway and was a disciplinarian; both parents are late.
CAREER
Diewait Ikpechukwu is a veteran Nollywood actor known for his supporting roles in dramatic and classic productions. He has featured in numerous films over more than two decades. Notable credits include, The Guilty (2006) and The Guilty 2 (2006), Ìjé Love (2022), Birds of a Feather, Frozen Flames, Living Deity, Ojukwu, Show Me The Way, Great Favour and other titles such as The Gift. In addition to acting, he works as an entertainer and MC. He remains active and respected in the industry, with occasional interviews discussing Nollywood’s growth, especially in Enugu.
PERSONAL LIFE
Diewait Ikpechukwu is married to Gloria Ikpechukwu. The couple has several children (including sons like Prince Onyekachi Ikpechukwu and daughters such as Chiamaka Ikpechukwu and Ify Ikpechukwu) and grandchildren. He is based in Enugu State and maintains a family-oriented public image. He is described as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
