Biography
EARLY LIFE
Nicholas Tetteh Nartey, professionally known as Big Ghun, was born in the early 1990s in Koforidua, Eastern Region of Ghana. He attended Manya Krobo Senior High School (SHS) in Odumase-Krobo. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Directing from the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) in 2019, and also obtained diplomas in TV and Film Production from Pan Atlantic University, the New York Film Academy, and the MultiChoice Talent Factory.
CAREER
Big Ghun is a Ghanaian film director, producer, musician, and entrepreneur, and the CEO of PB Studios Africa. His music career began in school as 'Kobby Stone' in the rap group 'Young Khalibenz.' He signed with TNR Music in 2018, where he rebranded to Big Ghun and released singles like 'Walk Off' and 'Bombastic.' In film, he directed TV advertisements and made his directorial debut with the television show 'LivingFields Agri Challenge' in 2019. His short film 'Koro (One)' (2020) won Best Short Thriller at the Robinson Film Awards International Film Festival. He also co-directed the Nollywood Showmax original 'Leaked' (2022), which won the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best MultiChoice Talent Factory Movie in 2023. Other directorial works include 'Vibes the Movie' (2025) and 'Benkum' (2023).
