Abdel Aziz Khalil

Abdel Aziz Khalil was a foundational figure in early Egyptian performance arts. He was the very first founder of the Syndicate of Actors in Egypt. He performed alongside legendary theatrical troupes of his era, including those of George Abyad, Salama Hegazy, and Mounira El Mahdeya. He became widely recognized for playing antagonist and villain roles. His most prominent films include Youssef Chahine's masterpiece Cairo Station (1958) (as Abo Gaber), Si Omar (1941), and The Will (1939).
