When Love Is Blind

In WHEN LOVE IS BLIND, Diamond encounters entrepreneur Adrian when he accidentally bumps into her; they exchange numbers. Adrian, pressured by his mother to settle down, asks Diamond to pretend to be his fiancée. He grows fond of Diamond despite her claims of being a beautician clashing with her struggle to use modern appliances. As their relationship deepens, Adrian notices inconsistencies—Diamond dips bread in tea and insists on manual cleaning, raising his suspicions. Adrian’s mother observes Diamond warily during a formal dinner, questioning her background. Although they argue over her habits, Adrian’s affection grows. The truth emerges when Adrian discovers Diamond borrowed clothes and items to appear wealthy; enraged, he instructs his security guard John to bar her entry. Diamond’s friend pleads with Adrian, explaining her actions stem from a desire to escape poverty, and Mrs. Bello defends Diamond’s genuine efforts. That evening, Adrian meets Diamond at the gate, admitting the house feels empty without her and that she is cool when honest. They reconcile, deciding to start over with transparency. The film ends with them holding hands, walking back into the house, supported by Mrs. Bello, John, and Diamond’s friends.
