The King's Matchmaker

Queen Doshima of the Wukari Kingdom summons matchmaker Amira Coker to prepare Crown Prince Terver Terungwa for his coronation by finding him a suitable bride. In The King's Matchmaker, Amira has three weeks to train four royal women. The Prince dismisses her as overpriced, but Queen Doshima overrules him. Amira has palace worker Mina distract the Prince's aide, Tseyo, so she can confront the Prince by the pool. He agrees to attend a dinner with the candidates, is drawn to Adiya, and asks Tseyo to investigate her. Amira and the Prince spend time in video game matches and charity outreach, and their connection deepens. The training concludes with the Queen selecting Adiya as the future queen, yet Adiya and the Prince feel no real connection. The Prince has grown aware of his feelings for Amira. The Prince kisses Amira in her quarters after a disengaged dinner with Adiya and admits he feels the attraction she once described. Torn by her professional role, Amira quietly leaves the palace and tells Queen Doshima her work is done. Adiya confides in Tseyo, and the two acknowledge a mutual affection. The Prince shuts himself away before the coronation, and Queen Doshima confronts him. She reveals she has known he loves Amira and urges him to follow his heart. Queen Doshima arranges travel to Lagos, where the Prince finds Amira at her workplace and declares his love. Amira hesitates over the differences between a king and a matchmaker, but he insists she is more than her profession, and they kiss. Amira cancels all her appointments and returns with the Prince to Wukari. The public coronation proceeds, and the announcer presents King Terver Terungwa with Queen Amira Koka Terungwa by his side, chosen by destiny. The former matchmaker stands with the King as the new royal couple.
