Selina's Wedding

Selina arrives at Ruben's family mansion, and the wealth of it overwhelms her. In Selina's Wedding, Ruben's mother Angel adores her, but Selina's weak English makes her anxious. Ruben hires a tutor, Mr Patrick, to correct her pronunciation, and the lessons keep collapsing into comic frustration. Nora, Ruben's sister and a fashion designer, critiques Selina's unpolished ways and pushes grand wedding plans. Margret, Selina's closest friend, tells her to embrace the family's love. Then a woman named Ima arrives with a toddler, claims the child is Ruben's, and insists he take responsibility. A stunned Ruben insists on a DNA test, and Selina, convinced she cannot compete with another woman, is devastated. Furious, Angel sends Ima to a hotel, and Selina packs to leave. Ruben confronts Selina in her bedroom and pleads with her not to run away. He explains that Ima is a past relationship he cannot ignore, and he wants to face the situation together. Moved by his sincerity, Selina agrees to stay. The families hold the traditional engagement ceremony, where gifts are exchanged and the marriage is formally blessed. Margret scolds Selina for thinking of abandoning such a devoted man, and Selina finally puts her fears aside. On the wedding day, a black SUV decorated with ribbons is replaced by a limousine. Selina, radiant in her white gown, arrives at the venue. The officiant asks for objections, and none come. Ruben and Selina exchange vows and rings, and they are pronounced husband and wife. Their kiss seals the union, and the reception erupts in joy as the couple dances with guests and cuts a towering cake.
