First Love

David brings his fiancée, Ibiere, to a new home. In First Love, Ama lives in a cramped Ibadan room with Diva, her sick young daughter. Mercy, Ama's friend, insists she contact Diva's father, David, though he is newly engaged. Ama goes, Ibiere lets her in, and Ama reveals Diva needs urgent surgery. David is furious she disappeared and hid the child, and Ama begs him to help. Ibiere suggests Ama and Diva stay in the spare room while a DNA test runs. The test confirms Diva is his. During the stay, David bonds with Diva and his feelings for Ama return. Ama tells him his mother threatened to disinherit him, threw her out while pregnant, and offered money to leave. David is shaken because his mother is dead. His friend Usoro warns him this is trouble. Ibiere's friend Omotayo tells Ibiere she is setting David and Ama up. David withdraws, and Ibiere feels the distance. Ibiere confronts David about moping since Ama left. She ends the engagement, revealing she had a past with Greg but chose him. David goes to Ibadan and tells Ama the breakup was not her fault. He wants a home with her and Diva. Ama admits she never stopped loving him and named Diva after him. They kiss and enjoy family time as David makes up for lost time. He asks Ama to stop running. He drives her to her uncle's house and says he has found the flower he wants to pluck. They walk hand in hand toward the house.
