Biography
EARLY LIFE
Adeyemi Olanrewaju Goodman Ajibade was born a royal prince of the house of Ọ̀ràngún in Ìlá Òràngún, Osun State, Nigeria. He attended Abeokuta Grammar School and later studied in London at Kennington College of Law and Commerce (1955), The Actors' Workshop (1960), and the London School of Film Technique (1966-1968).
CAREER
Nigerian playwright, actor, and director who settled in England in the 1950s and made significant contributions to British theatre and Black drama. Notable plays include Parcel Post (1976), Waiting for Hannibal (1986), and A Long Way From Home (1991). Acted in films such as Dirty Pretty Things (2002), The Exorcist: The Beginning (2004), and Flawless (2007), and numerous TV series including Danger Man (1965) and Silent Witness (1996).
PERSONAL LIFE
Married to actor and poet Ebony White, with whom he had two daughters, Adenrele and Mimi. Had another daughter, Marigold, from a previous relationship. Died in London, England.
