EARLY LIFE

Precious Chikwendu was born on 25 May 1989 in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria, into a Christian family. She is the second child in a family of seven siblings. She completed her primary education at Makurdi International School in Benue State and her secondary education at ECWA Secondary School, North Bank, Makurdi. She later earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Science with a specialization in Forestry and Wildlife Conservation from the University of Calabar in Cross River State. Her early years were shaped by a supportive family environment, and she developed an interest in modeling and pageantry during her university days, beginning her modeling career in 2006 while still a student.

CAREER

Precious Chikwendu is a multifaceted Nigerian model, beauty queen, and Nollywood actress. She began her modeling career in 2006, participating in events such as the M IDOLS FASHION SHOW in Calabar, the Nigeria Television Fashion Show, Catwalk for Change, and Galaxy Television Fashion Week. In 2007, she placed as first runner-up in the Prettiest Girl Nigeria contest and reached the Top 10 in the Miss Earth Nigeria Pageant. She competed in Miss Nigeria 2010 in Abuja. She has endorsed brands and events including Face of Safari and Face of Genism and appeared in commercials for Medik55 and Passions Energy Drink from Orange Drugs Pharmaceuticals. In 2014, she was crowned Miss United Nations, succeeding Alexi Rabolion. Prior to her pageant success, she worked as a commercial manager at Star Advantage Company in Calabar. She is the mother of four sons, including a set of triplets born in 2018 (named Aragorn, Ragnar, Aiden, and Liam). Following the divorce, she was involved in a high-profile custody battle with her ex-husband over the children. In 2020, she publicly stated, “God has freed me from captivity,” reflecting on the end of the marriage. She has faced legal challenges, including charges related to alleged attempted murder (involving an incident in 2018), cybercrime, threats, and defamation, for which she was arraigned and later scheduled for re-arraignment on amended charges. She has also been involved in defamation suits, such as one brought by former senator Grace Bent. More recently, she has reunited with Fani-Kayode and regained access to her children through court processes.
