Nse Ikpe Etim

An outstanding Nigerian actress,and an award winning actress, writer and professional chef, her breakthrough began in the year 2008 with her role in the movie " Reload" and she was rewarded as as best actress in a leading role at ..lethe African movie academy awards 5th and 8th respectively, Nse attended Away nursery and command primary school in Kaduna, later to st Louis college in jos she bagged her degree in theater Art from the university of calabar, she made her first appearance on Tv in the family soap " Inheritance" in 1999, Nse Ikpe Etim is an advocate for women's health and self worth, she recently came to air to talk about her infertility journey, her diagnosis with Adenomyosis,which affected lead to the removal of her womb( hysterectomy) she has featured in numerous Nollywood films and Netflix movies like " A tribe called Judah, shanty town, fury and Mr and Mrs" among others.

EARLY LIFE

Etim was born on 21 October 1974 in Lagos. She attended Awa Nursery School and Command Primary School in Kaduna State, Louis College in Jos, Plateau State, and Federal Government Colleges in Jos and Ilorin. Her family moved frequently due to her father's career with the Central Bank of Nigeria. She earned a degree in Theater Arts from the University of Calabar.

CAREER

At 18, Etim started acting in stage plays at university. Her first television appearance was in the family soap Inheritance. After graduating, she left the film industry temporarily before returning with Reloaded in 2008 alongside Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo, and Desmond Elliot. She gained prominence with roles in films like Mr. and Mrs., Journey to Self, A tribe called Judah, fury, and recent Netflix series Shanty Town.

PERSONAL LIFE

Etim is the first of six children. She married her childhood friend Clifford Sule on 14 February 2013 in Lagos, followed by a traditional wedding in Akwa Ibom State. She resides in London with her husband, a senior lecturer at Middlesex University, and frequently visits Nigeria for work. She is an advocate for women's health and self-worth, and has publicly discussed her infertility journey, diagnosis with Adenomyosis, which led to a hysterectomy.
