EARLY LIFE
Born on February 19, 1992, in Kenya, Njue Kevin initially grew up in Nakuru before moving to Limuru. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Kenyatta University, where he began his filmmaking journey, collaborating with Bill Jones Afwani and overcoming early resource challenges.
CAREER
Njue Kevin is a Kenyan film director, producer, and screenwriter. His early short films, 'Sticking Ribbons' (2013) and 'Saidia/Help' (2014), received international recognition. In 2015, he directed 'Intellectual Scum', which was screened at various film festivals. His directorial debut feature film, '18 Hours' (2017), won Best Overall Movie in Africa at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards. He also wrote and produced 'Safari' (2022) for Netflix and produced 'Big Girl Small World' (2024) for Showmax. Since 2020, he has been a senior producer at the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, leading the revival of 'MTV Shuga Mashariki' in Kenya.
