Maurice Samuel , popularly known as Maurice Sam, is a Nigerian actor, DJ, model, social media influencer, and entrepreneur. Born on March 12, 1990, in Lagos, Nigeria, he hails from Imo State and is of Igbo ethnicity. He grew up in Lagos, where he developed an early passion for acting through his church drama group, and later studied mass communication at the University of Lagos. Sam rose to prominence in 2016 with his breakout role as Acid in the Nollywood TV series Hustle, which earned him widespread recognition. Since then, he has starred in numerous films and series, including The Big Fat Lie (2019), Blood Sisters (2022), Team Six (2021), Lara of Lagos, Fond of You (2023), and When Men Cry (2022), often collaborating with top Nollywood stars like Ramsey Nouah and Ini Edo. His accolades include winning Best Actor in a Comedy at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards in 2018 and Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Movie Awards in 2019
