EARLY LIFE
Martha Ankomah was born on 21 November 1986 in Accra, Ghana, as the only child of her single mother. She faced several challenges during her childhood. She attended Adabraka Presbyterian Junior High School, Labone Senior High School, and Jayee University College, all in Accra.
CAREER
She began her acting career in 1994, influenced by her cousin, after attending auditions for movies and participating in television series and films. She placed third in the 2007 edition of the Next Movie Star reality show. She has appeared in numerous Ghanaian films and TV productions, including Suncity, Honeymoon Hotel (2014), Where is your Mobile?, Power of the gods, Shakira (2009) as Amanda, Sin of the Soul (2009), Heart of Men (2009) as Diana, Somewhere in Africa (2011) as Nivera, Silence (2024) as Narkie, A Trip To Hell (2014) as Bella, Million Dollar Baby (2014) as Cindy, Deadline (2012), Bed of Roses (2011) as Zina, and A Happy Surprise (2022) as Kukua. In January 2026, she was announced to be returning to the screen in upcoming projects. She is known for being selective with roles, preferring those that convey positive messages and promote societal change.
