EARLY LIFE
Femi Lawson's journey began as a grassroots community organizer, leveraging his skills as a facilitator, mentor, and public speaker to create meaningful change in marginalized communities. As a Canadian-born Nigerian, he has over 20 years of experience working with various international festivals, NGO initiatives, and government organizations. He is a criminology graduate and holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Arts, Education, and Youth.
CAREER
His foundation in community building led to a multifaceted career spanning hosting, acting, and global cultural initiatives. Femi gained significant digital recognition with over 160 million views after being featured in several VICE series and documentaries, including 'Underground Street Racers.' This launched his career in entertainment as an actor and personality. He co-starred in the 4-part series 'Rich Africans' on Amazon Prime and Apple TV, alongside Michael Blackson, Young Joc, and KD Abert. His family also appeared in three episodes of Family Feud Canada. In 2023, he secured a role as 'Jamal' in the comedy 'Bria Mack Gets a Life' and completed shooting for the role of 'Jimoh' in the feature film 'ORAH,' filmed in Canada and Nigeria. PERSONAL LIFE
Femi's dedication to giving back drives his vision to establish youth-focused resource centers in North America and Africa to empower future generations. His love for his communities motivates him to constantly contribute positively. He organized a meeting with the Lagos State Government to produce an entrepreneurship conference in Nigeria and has supported a youth boxing gym in Jamestown, Ghana. In 2023, he joined Michael Blackson in Ghana to support the launch of a school, where he hosted the first-ever soccer tournament as part of the festivities.
