EARLY LIFE
Emmanuel Somto was born on February 5, 1997, in Kano State, Nigeria, into the Mbah family. He is an only child. Due to religious unrest in Kano, he relocated to his hometown, Eziama Ikeduru in Imo State, at the age of six to live with his grandmother. He attended Eziama Ikeduru Commercial Secondary School, where he obtained his WAEC in 2013, and later earned a National Diploma in Marketing from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede.
CAREER
Somto began his modeling career in 2012, joining Dhabry Khency Modeling Agency. In 2016, he won the Mr Teen Nigeria title. He transitioned into acting that same year, appearing in Nollywood films such as 'Sparking Stone' and 'Child of Mercy'. In 2019, while studying International Business at Siam University in Thailand, he was crowned Mister Model International Africa. In 2020, he won the Face of Oppo Mobile Nigeria contest. He represented Nigeria at the Mister Global 2021 pageant, reaching the Top 17 and winning the 'Mr Popularity' award. In 2021, he founded the 'Misters of Nigeria' organization.
PERSONAL LIFE
Emmanuel Somto is currently single. In 2020, he gained media attention for professing his admiration and desire to marry Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, stating that age is not an issue for him. He is actively involved in philanthropy through the Emmanuel Somto Foundation, which focused on aiding prison inmates and underprivileged youth.
