EARLY LIFE
Chidi Ihezie Okafor was born on September 19, 1980, in Lagos, Nigeria. She is originally from Obowo Local Government Area in Imo State. The fourth of ten children, she developed an interest in broadcasting from a young age. She completed her primary and secondary education in Lagos before obtaining a National Diploma in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, in Anambra State.
CAREER
Her acting career began in 1993 during her industrial training at NTA Aba, where she was cast in a drama by veteran Davis Ofor. She rose to prominence in the early 2000s with breakout roles in movies like 'Billionaire’s Club' and the Igbo-language drama 'Igbudu'. In 2018, she transitioned into gospel music with the release of her debut album, 'Limitless Jesus'. In 2024, she was appointed Special Adviser on HMO/Insurance to the AGN President.
PERSONAL LIFE
She married a longtime friend from the Isekenesi people of Ideato South LGA on December 28, 2003. They have four children. She took a sabbatical from acting in the mid-2000s to focus on raising her family. She is a devout Christian and credits her husband's support for her ability to balance her multiple career paths and family life.
