Brenda Ogbukaa-Garuba

Brenda Ogbukaa-Garuba is a freelance screenwriter, producer, and occasional actress based in Abuja, Nigeria. She won Best Screenplay in two categories at the 2014 Nigeria Integrity Film Awards (HOMEVIDA) for her scripts adapted into the short films Money Makeover and Homecoming. Her first feature-length screenplay, Sima's World (filmed as Beauty of the Mind, 2014). As an actress, she appeared as an extra in Beauty of the Mind (2014). To Adaego with Love (2025), Sin (2025), Love and Life (2023), Kariya (2023–2024 TV series), My Mama Na Ashawo (2022 short), In Another Life (2022), Time to Live (2021 short), Lemonade (2020), Halita (2019– TV series, 238 episodes), The Confessor (2019), The Itch (2018), Black Widow (2017), Stormy Hearts (2017, story), Mrs. & Mrs. Johnson (2015), and Beauty of the Mind (2014). As a producer, she worked on To Adaego with Love (2025), My Mama Na Ashawo (2022 short), and In Another Life (2022).
