Biography
EARLY LIFE
Born on 22 August 1958 in Inabere Street, Lagos Island where he grew up but hailed from Ikorodu local government area of Lagos State. Primary education at Jamaitul Islamia Primary School in Lagos and Children Boarding School, Osogbo. Proceeded to Adekanbi Commercial High School in Mile 12, Lagos but obtained West African School Certificate from Ifeoluwa Grammar School in Osogbo.
CAREER
Began acting in 1971, came into limelight after featuring in Omolasan produced by Obalende. Became more popular after Iru Esin produced by Olaiya Igwe in 1997. He was an actor, writer, and producer, known for Kotan Sibe (1997), N150 Million (2003) and 36 Kiniun (2003). Featured in and produced several Nigerian movies. In 2011 accused of cocaine trafficking by NDLEA, allegation described as false by Lagos high court.
PERSONAL LIFE
He was married to Monsurat Omidina from 1995 until her death on September 1, 2009, and they had 2 children. He died on 22 November 2021 in Nigeria after a long illness.
