EARLY LIFE
Angela Ijeoma Okorie was born on August 17, 1985, in Cotonou, Benin Republic, as the third of five children. She spent much of her early life in Cotonou, where she was raised in a close-knit Christian family. Hailing from Ishiagu, in the Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. After relocating to Nigeria, Angela continued her education and later enrolled at the University of Lagos, where she pursued a degree in Theatre Arts. She went on to study Public Administration at Lagos State University.
CAREER
Angela Okorie made her entry into Nollywood in 2009, transitioning from a successful modeling career. Her debut came in the movie Sincerity. Her breakthrough came with the movie Holy Serpent. Notable films include: Sincerity (2009), Holy Serpent (2011), Gallant Babes (2011), The Code (2011), Divorce Not Allowed (2018), Fubara’s Wish (2020), Secret Code, Heart of a Widow, Royal Vampire, Forbidden Confession, Wicked Intention, End of the Game. Angela is also a passionate musician with tracks such as “Someday,” “E Pain Dem,” “Legit,” and “Baby Chuchu.” She has ventured into entrepreneurship.
PERSONAL LIFE
Angela Okorie was previously married to Chukwuma Orizu, and their union produced a son, Chamberlain Orizu. In July 2020, speculation about a second marriage surfaced with Nwele Michael Chukwudi.
