CAREER
Yemisi Wada entered the Nigerian film industry as a producer. Her first major production was the movie Oluranlowo Mi (My Helper), which had its premiere over a decade ago. She is the Executive Producer and creator of the popular crime drama series Lasgidi Cops and its spin-off Lasgidi Cops (Special Crime Unit), often described as Nigeria’s version of CSI: New York. The series stars actors such as Kelechi Udegbe, Leo Oji, Nengi Adoki, Maryam Booth, Joke Silva, Anthony Monjaro, Bimbo Akintola, Kehinde Bankole, and Gideon Okeke.
PERSONAL LIFE
Yemisi Wada is a mother of 5 and a grandmother (to Kash, Kiayo & Kibi). She was previously married to controversial politician Chief Femi Olukayode (formerly known as Femi Fani-Kayode).
