Biography
EARLY LIFE
William Remington Moses was born on November 17, 1959, in Los Angeles, California, the son of actress Marian McCargo and advertising executive Richard Cantrell Moses Sr. His parents divorced in 1963. In 1970, his mother remarried Republican Congressman Alphonzo E. Bell Jr., who adopted William and his brothers, Rick and Harry. He grew up on a citrus farm in Ojai, California. He briefly attended Wesleyan University.
CAREER
Moses' acting career began with a commercial for Sprite, followed by his first movie, Choices (1981). He is widely recognized for his role as Cole Gioberti in the 1980s prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest, where he starred for six seasons from 1981 to 1986. In 1988, he co-starred with Julia Roberts in the film Mystic Pizza. From 1989 to 1993, Moses played Ken Malansky in 17 Perry Mason TV movies alongside Raymond Burr. He continued the role in four subsequent TV films until 1995. In 1992, he took on the recurring role of Keith Gray in Melrose Place, and in 1997, he played David Graysmark in Fame L.A. His extensive filmography includes appearances in Double Exposure (1994), Trial by Jury (1994), Hangman's Curse (2003), Christmas Child (2004), and the Jane Doe film series (2005–2008). In November 2022, he was cast as Jeff Webber on the ABC soap opera General Hospital. Moses has also made guest appearances in various television series such as Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, CSI: Miami, and Homeland. William R. Moses starred in the acclaimed Nigerian action-thriller film Oloibiri.
PERSONAL LIFE
William R. Moses was married to actress Tracy Nelson from 1987 to 1997, with whom he has a daughter, Remington Elizabeth Moses, born in 1992, who is also an actress. He married Sara Moses in 2000 and they have two daughters.
