EARLY LIFE
Wapi Black was born and raised in Jos, Plateau State. He grew up in a culturally rich environment that influenced his passion for performance arts and storytelling. From early on, he showed interest in theatre and media, which later shaped his multi-faceted career in the creative industry.
CAREER
Wapi Barau (also known as Senator Brabisco) is a versatile Nigerian actor and director, active in both stage and film productions since 2018. He has featured in several projects, including the role of Kofa Kobad in 'Behind the Sheek', Salamatu’s Father in the short drama 'Salamatu’s Rhapsody' (2024), and the 2025 film 'Katangari Goes to Town'. He works extensively in Plateau Nollywood (often called J-Wood), contributing as an actor and director. In addition to acting and directing, he is a radio presenter (OAP) and popular compere who hosts events and creates engaging content. He is recognized as a multi-talented creative pushing the growth of film and theatre in Plateau State.
