EARLY LIFE

Vin Vae is a Nigerian Canadian artist who emerged in the music scene in 2016 with her distinctive soul-stirring voice and vivid storytelling. She hails from Nigeria and pursued higher education there, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Madonna University Nigeria in 2014 and another Bachelor’s degree in Health Planning and Management from the University of Benin in 2017. In 2017, she temporarily paused her music career to focus on her academics, demonstrating her commitment to both her artistic passions and professional development. She later relocated to Toronto, Canada, where she has built her career while embracing her Nigerian heritage.

CAREER

Vin Vae is a boundary-defying singer, songwriter, and recording artist recognized for her genre-blending music that creates immersive, emotionally rich experiences. She first emerged in 2016 with a captivating presence and unique sound that fuses soul, storytelling, and diverse musical styles. After pausing her music career for academics in 2017, she returned in 2023 with powerful singles that showcased her growth and artistic clarity. This led to the release of her compilation album, THE V ECHOES. In 2024, she released her debut studio album, When My Life Began, described as the second chapter of her “Life Trilogy.” The album explores themes of self-discovery, transformation, and new beginnings through lush production and heartfelt lyricism. In 2025, she followed up with her second studio album, When Will My Life Begin, released on August 2 as the first chapter of the Life Trilogy. Notably, it was initially distributed directly to consumers before streaming platforms to emphasize artistic independence, integrity, and direct listener connection. Beyond music, Vin Vae is the founder and creative force behind VINVAE, an affordable luxury silk scarf brand that merges fashion with her artistic vision. She is also active as a content creator across digital platforms. Her work has been featured in outlets like Mundane Magazine, where she has been praised for her transcendent and genre-defying approach. She continues to push creative boundaries, inspire others to embrace their authenticity, and build meaningful connections through her art and brand. Vin Vae starred as the character Maureen in The Saviour in Black (2021). Outside of her direct on-screen acting roles, she also served as the executive producer for the short film The Hate You Feel (2020) as part of her dedication to creating bold, women-centered narratives.
