Victor Hart, professionally known as Victor Iyke, is an award-winning independent Nollywood filmmaker, producer, and director. He is the founder of Checkmate Pictures, a dynamic production company dedicated to telling compelling African stories with global appeal. Since venturing into independent filmmaking in 2017, Victor has produced seven feature films and directed four, consistently delivering high-quality productions that resonate with audiences. His work has been recognised at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA), Africa's biggest film awards, where he has won two AMVCAs and received four nominations. Victor holds a Master's degree in Producing for Film and Television from Teesside University, United Kingdom, which has refined his expertise in production management, creative development, and storytelling. His experience spans every stage of filmmaking, from script development to post-production, ensuring seamless execution while balancing artistic vision and industry demands. As a filmmaker, Victor is passionate about developing fresh talent, pushing creative boundaries, and bringing authentic African narratives to the global stage.
