EARLY LIFE

Venita Akpofure was born on January 1, 1987, in the United Kingdom and hails from Delta State, Nigeria. She grew up in Benin, Edo State, attending Our Lady of Apostles for primary school before returning to England. Her father, Mr. Akpofure, is of mixed race, while her mother, Mrs. Akpofure, is fully Nigerian. She studied accounting at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK.

CAREER

Venita Akpofure is a British-Nigerian actress, model, and video vixen who began her career as a model before transitioning into acting and music video appearances. She gained early prominence as a video vixen in clips such as "Mukulu" by Skales, "Ihe Ne Me" by 2Face Idibia (2012), "Alingo" by P-Square, "Magician Remix" by Ice Prince, "Scoobi Doo" by Hakeem da Dream featuring eLDee, "Finish Work" by Naeto C, "Shake Ur Bum" by Timaya, "Mo Fe Lo" by J-ROC, and "Too Much Money" by Iceberg Slim featuring Banky W. She played Mimi in AY Makun's Ay's Crib and starred alongside Joseph Benjamin and Eddie Watson in the 2015 TV series Losing Control (as Koko, 13 episodes). She rose to wider fame as a housemate on Big Brother Naija season 4 (Pepper Dem, 2019), where she was evicted on day 41 as the 11th of 20 housemates, and returned for the All Stars season 8 (2023), placing 9th.

PERSONAL LIFE

Venita Akpofure is 39 years old as of 2026 and stands at 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 meters). She was married to Terna Tarka (also known as Sir Tax), a mixed-race individual from a prominent family in Benue State, Nigeria, and son of the late Simeon Mbakorkaa Tarka, for four years before their divorce in 2019. She described the divorce as one of her toughest decisions and credited her support system for helping her through it. She is a mother of two daughters from the marriage. In 2020, she underwent breast augmentation surgery at Quartz Clinic in Istanbul and documented her experience on YouTube. Her cousin is Neo Akpofure
