Uzochukwu Michael Ikechukwu, professionally known as Chella Boi or simply Chella, was born on July 9 in the early 2000s in Abia State, Nigeria. He was raised in Abuja, where he grew up in a musically inclined family. His early years were shaped by exposure to both traditional Igbo music and contemporary Nigerian sounds. Surrounded by music lovers, Chella developed a passion for songwriting and performance early on. He cites influences like Fela Kuti, Psquare, Burna Boy, and street-hop pioneers as key to his musical development. Chella attended Immaculate Conception Primary and Secondary School. Following his secondary education, he was admitted into Abia State University.
