EARLY LIFE
Umar Muhammad Shareef, also known as Umar M Shareef, was born on April 8, 1989, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. He began his Quranic education at home as a child before attending formal school and is currently pursuing a degree at Kaduna State University (KASU).
CAREER
Umar M Shareef is a renowned Hausa love singer, Hausa film producer, and actor in the Kannywood industry. He has a strong relationship with Kannywood actors, particularly Ali Nuhu, who was instrumental in his rise to prominence. He has received numerous awards. His singing career started when he couldn't express his feelings to a girl he loved, leading him to start singing. While he had been singing for a while, his star began to shine in 2007. He has appeared in many films including Mansoor, Sareena, Mujadala, Hafeez, Mariya, Tsakaninmu, Ciwon Idanu Na, Kar Ki Manta Da Ni, and Nass. Most of his films were produced by FKD, owned by Ali Nuhu. He also owns Shareef Studio, which has produced films like Zarah and Jinin Jikina.
PERSONAL LIFE
He is one of the notable actors who has traveled to various countries, including Niger, Ghana, Cameroon, and Chad. Umar M Shareef is married to Maryam and has two children, Jarumi and Hafsat.
