EARLY LIFE
Uduak Ekong holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic Calabar and a BA in Communication Arts from the University of Uyo.
CAREER
Uduak Utip Ekong is a Broadcast Journalist, Producer and Correspondent with the Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation, AKBC, Television. She began her career as a Junior Reporter in AKBC in 1994 and for 26 years has served at various times as reporter and Editor in the Corporations News and Current Affairs Directorate. She ventured into documentary and Jingle productions. Uduak Ekong is Curator Professional and Entrepreneurial Women Network Ibom Cluster (iPEWN), promoting and encouraging the professional and personal growth of its members. She is also the Akwa Ibom Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), addressing issues affecting women and children. She is a serial entrepreneur and volunteer, a registered distributor of Swissgarde (now Healthgarde), Oriflame and Greenleaf products, and a Platinum Partner with Recharge and Get Paid, RAGP. She is involved in her family’s Snails Rearing business Snails Eden and gives expression to her events planning and packaging skills through her events company - No Hitch Events.
PERSONAL LIFE
Uduak is a wife and mother of five children whose interests range from reading to singing, cooking, and writing.
