EARLY LIFE
Uchechi Treasure Okonkwo, professionally known as Adakirikiri, was born on October 12, 2010, in Owerri Municipal LGA, Imo State, Nigeria. Her parents, Okonkwo Chijioke Junior and Eze Ogechi Patience, both work in the film industry as producers. She began her education at Merit International Nursery and Primary School in Owerri, later attending Prime College in Enugu, and then SIV Gold Model Secondary School in Imo State. Growing up in a culturally rich environment, she discovered her passion for the performing arts at an early age. Her natural talent for acting and comedic timing led her to pursue a career in Nollywood as a teenager, where she quickly gained recognition for her talent and charisma, particularly through her portrayal of the character Adakirikiri in a popular comedy series alongside Anokwute Longinus (Chief Imo).
CAREER
Uchechi began her career on YouTube at the age of eight as a comedian and gospel singer under the name Ada kirikiri. She gained attention through gospel song covers and appeared in the Africa Magic Igbo mini-comedy series 'Chief Imo and Adakirikiri' from 2015-2017. Her collaboration with Anokwute Longinus (Chief Imo) in a Nollywood comedy series garnered a significant following. In 2020, she released the gospel single 'Okeosisi.' In 2021, she took on her first leading role as Elle in 'The Good Doctor' and also starred in 'Saving Rose.' She has since appeared in numerous Nollywood and Ghanaian films, including 'Woman Power' (2023), 'Iman' (2023), 'This Very Christmas' (2024), 'Chief and Lolo Imo', 'No Leave No Transfer', 'The Couple', 'Twin Killing Forest', and 'The Good Doctor' starring Jackie Appiah and Prince Chukwu. Her YouTube video 'LINGERING PAIN' has amassed over 2.5 million views. Beyond acting, Adakirikiri is a talented singer whose music is available on streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited. She is represented by Boldline Entertainment.
