Her father is a retired civil servant and businessman, while her mother is a teacher. Elendu has been open about her battle with endometriosis, a medical condition that caused her severe pain for seven years. She has shared her experiences publicly to raise awareness about the condition. In November 2023, Elendu faced public scrutiny when fellow actress Doris Ogala accused her of taking a widow with five children to court over her late husband’s properties.
