Soso Ovundah – Akarolo

EARLY LIFE

Solate Ovundah-Akarolo was born into the prominent Lulu-Briggs family in Rivers State, Nigeria. She is the daughter of High Chief (Dr.) O. B. Lulu-Briggs and Dr. (Mrs.) Seinye O. B. Lulu-Briggs. She pursued higher education in the United States, graduating with an honours Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Solate Ovundah-Akarolo serves as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Moni Pulo Limited, a Nigerian oil and gas company tied to her family’s business interests. She balances this corporate role with a successful career in Nollywood as an executive producer and founder/CEO/creative director of Five 2 Media Entertainment. Her notable productions include, On the Edge (executive producer), Extra Mile (executive producer), Remi X Nneoma (executive producer). In July 2025, she and producer/actress Bikiya Graham-Douglas publicly announced their return with the new drama Remi X Nneoma.
