Sonia Santos

Sonia Santos had a relatively short but notable presence in Brazilian cinema during the late 1970s. She is best known for her dual role as Elisa / Amanda in the 1979 film Black Goddess (A Deusa Negra), which was directed by Ola Balogun and is considered an important work in Afro-Brazilian cinema. She also appeared in Cabaret Mineiro (1980), and Perseguido (2011). Her filmography is limited, with her most prominent credit being the above-mentioned film. She is primarily recognized within the context of classic Brazilian cinema from that era.
