EARLY LIFE

Solomon Usuanlele hails from Benin in Edo State, Nigeria. He developed a passion for visual storytelling and entered the film industry with formal training at Delyork Creative Academy and through the MultiChoice Talent Factory. He started building his career in filmmaking and photography at a young age, showing entrepreneurial drive early on. Solomon Usuanlele is the founder and Creative Director of SOL PHILMS , a visual production company. He has a strong interest in documentary filmmaking and has worked on projects that capture Afrocentric stories through powerful visuals. He also contributed to The Herd. He works across film, photography, drone photography, cinematography, and content strategy. He also runs or collaborates with Dfocus Vision Initiative. He is recognized for turning challenges into opportunities, including early entrepreneurial efforts in transforming spaces, and continues to create intentional visual content for both cinematic and commercial projects.

He maintains an active but professionally focused presence on social media, sharing insights into his creative process, behind-the-scenes work, and passion for impactful storytelling. He describes himself as a “Nation Builder” and emphasizes intention-driven visuals for films, brands, and projects.
