Biography
EARLY LIFE
Folashade Omoniyi, born on 16 April 1971, is a native of Osogbo in Osun State, Nigeria. She was raised in Lagos state where she attended Ire Akari Primary School and Isolo Comprehensive High School. She studied Data Processing at the University of Lagos.
CAREER
Omoniyi entered the Nigerian entertainment industry in 1995, initially working as a model due to her slim physique. She then transitioned to being a make-up artist for actors before starting her acting career in the Nigerian Nollywood movie industry in 1996, where she played minor roles in English-speaking movies. Her debut film was 'Breaking Point'. She later moved to the Nigerian Yoruba movie industry, gaining her breakthrough role as the title character in 'Lepa Shandy', a Yoruba movie produced by Bayowa, which became a blockbuster and established her acting career.
